Harp and violin duo playing together at a wedding reception in Dubai

A harp duo in Dubai pairs the harp with a violin or a cello, and a trio brings all three together. You can also book two harpists side by side. The extra instrument gives the music more body, so a duo or a trio carries well in a ballroom, on a beach or through a long dinner. Send your date, your venue and the line up you have in mind, and we send the musicians who are free, with videos and a price.

Price: the cost depends on the number of musicians, the hours and the type of event. See harpist prices in Dubai.

The line ups

Harp and violin. The violin carries the melody and the harp fills the harmony. It is the classic sound for a wedding ceremony, light and bright, and it suits classical pieces as well as pop songs.

Harp and cello. The cello adds warmth and a deep bass line under the harp. A good choice for a church style ceremony, a gala dinner or an elegant evening reception.

Harp trio. Harp, violin and cello together. The fullest sound of the three, close to a small chamber group, for a large ballroom or a formal gala.

Two harps. Two harpists playing together. The sound is rich and sparkling, and two tall harps side by side make a strong picture on a stage or at the front of a ceremony.

When to choose a duo or a trio

A solo harpist is enough for an intimate ceremony, a small dinner or a welcome in a hotel lobby. Choose a duo or a trio when the room is large, when the event is outdoors, when guests sit far from the music, or when you want the music to feel like a performance. For long events, a second or third musician also brings more variety to the set.

Songs for a duo or a trio

You choose the tracks. The musicians then plan the set together, so each instrument has its part. Send your list early, especially for a pop song or a special request, so the group can prepare an arrangement. For a wedding, mark the songs for the entrance, the exit and any special moment.

Space and sound

A duo needs room for the harp and its stool plus space for the violinist or the cellist to play, side by side. A trio needs a little more. In a large room or outdoors, ask for sound so all the instruments are heard. The team can set up the sound system.

The look

You can choose costumes from a selection of themes, so the musicians match each other and your colours. Matching gowns in a colour from your theme look good in photos.
